All visitors and campers must comply with Village Ordinance Title 12, Chapter 1:
Reservations & Fees
🌳 Gile Park Shelters
Shelters can be reserved at the Village Hall up to one year in advance. Payment must be received at least one week in advance.
- Merrillan Residents: $30.00
- Non-Residents: $50.00
*Fees are non-refundable.
⛺ Gile Park Campsites
Camping Fee: $20.00 per site (with or without electricity).
Minimum stay of (3) nights for reservations with a $5.00 fee. Must be made 2 weeks in advance.

🏖️ Lower Lake Beach & Recreation
Experience Lower Lake recreation including a sandy beach, swimming area, boating, and fishing access. Picnic shelters are available for public use.
🚫 NO Glass containers or bottles permitted on the beach or in any park area.
Ordinance-Based Park Rules
Hours & Registration
- Park Hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM. (Closed overnight to non-campers).
- Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM. No loud music or noise.
- Registration: Must self-register BEFORE setting up camp at the Red Post.
- Checkout: By Noon on departure date.
General Prohibitions
- Glass: Glass beverage containers are prohibited in all parks.
- Fish Cleaning: Prohibited in shelters, toilets, or picnic areas.
- Pets: Must be leashed (max 8′) and attended. Clean up is mandatory.
- Fires: Permitted only in personal grills or designated fireplaces.
