All visitors and campers must comply with Village Ordinance Title 12, Chapter 1:

Reservations & Fees

🌳 Gile Park Shelters

Shelters can be reserved at the Village Hall up to one year in advance. Payment must be received at least one week in advance.

  • Merrillan Residents: $30.00
  • Non-Residents: $50.00

*Fees are non-refundable.

⚠️ STEP 1: VERIFY AVAILABILITY

Shelters must be confirmed available by the Clerk’s Office via phone, email, or in-person before submitting any payment.

(An online calendar option is under review for future availability.)

💵 STEP 2: PAYMENT OPTIONS

⛺ Gile Park Campsites

Camping Fee: $25.00 per site (with or without electricity).

🌲 FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED: Simply find an open, unclaimed site when you arrive!

*Advance reservations require a minimum stay of (3) nights, a $5.00 fee, and must be booked at least 2 weeks ahead by calling the office.

💡 Two Ways to Pay for Your Site:
  1. Traditional Drop-Box: Fill out a physical payment envelope located directly at the park drop-box.
  2. Online Payment Portal: Securely pay for your claimed site online right from your device using the button below.

🏖️ Lower Lake Beach & Recreation

Experience Lower Lake recreation including a sandy beach, swimming area, boating, and fishing access. Picnic shelters are available for public use.

🚫 NO Glass containers or bottles permitted on the beach or in any park area.

Ordinance-Based Park Rules

Hours & Registration

  • Park Hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM. (Closed overnight to non-campers).
  • Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM. No loud music or noise.
  • Registration: Must self-register BEFORE setting up camp at the Red Post.
  • Checkout: By Noon on departure date.

General Prohibitions

  • Glass: Glass beverage containers are prohibited in all parks.
  • Fish Cleaning: Prohibited in shelters, toilets, or picnic areas.
  • Pets: Must be leashed (max 8′) and attended. Clean up is mandatory.
  • Fires: Permitted only in personal grills or designated fireplaces.
