Important Update for Property Tax Payments

- I am reaching out to inform you of a derailment that occurred near Merrillan, Wisconsin, at approximately 9:16 p.m. CST last night. Several railcars transporting frac sand, a non-hazardous good, left the track. There are no reported injuries, and at this time, there is no risk to public safety.
As response crews work to secure the site and begin recovery operations, the Railroad Street crossing remains blocked. CN is coordinating closely with local first responders and appreciates their swift assistance and partnership.
The cause of the incident is currently under investigation. CN will continue to provide timely updates as verified information becomes available. - CN crews will continue to work through the night to complete track repairs following the December 7th derailment near Merrillan, Wisconsin. Recovery efforts are progressing, and the goal is to restore rail service as early as tomorrow morning. Cleanup and remediation activities will remain ongoing in the coming days as damaged equipment is removed and the site is fully restored. There were no injuries, no fires, and no danger to public safety. The material released consists solely of non-hazardous frack sand.

CN has a derailment near Railroad Rd which has caused the crossing near the gas station to have the crossing arms down. They have people on the way, but in the meantime traffic will have to go around. Do not try to go around the crossing arms.
