Power has been restored. Additional inspections were performed and a problem area was found. We are fairly confident that this was in fact the problem that was also semi-weather related, in yesterday’s case it was the wind. The Village sincerely apologizes for the constant outages.
In addition to this, the Village has already submitted under the Federal infrastructure bill to try and underground as much of our electric as possible. We are also looking to move from 2400v to 7200v. We are awaiting a response on this grant and it is possible we may not be receive an award during this round. If we are not given an award this time we would then submit again during additional rounds.
We have been making strides in improvements but it does take time. Rest assured we are not ignoring the issues.
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Thank you,
Chris Wruck
Village President

Maintenance is being performed on the Bunting Ln power lines. You may experience outages as a result. We are hoping this resolves the ongoing outages.
We are aware of the power outage in the Bunting Ln/Beach Dr areas. If you are out anywhere else please let us know here: https://merrillanwi.gov/report/ – Due to the weather it may take a little longer for restoration. Thank you for your patience.
We are aware of the new power outages and a crew will be en route shortly.
